Green Day Official Book Release ?

Harper Collins Catalogs create a page that curious, there are pages on their website that they inform Green Day's official books will be sold from 25 October 2011.

As we know, it's described as "the first official book about the band, by the band."

"The dynamic first book from the popular punk rock band Green Day will include hundreds of photographs of the band on tour and backstage, as well as ephemera including backstage passes, ticket stubs, handwritten notes and lyrics, and more. These gorgeous photos will be supplemented with lyrics from their last two hit albums American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, and captions from the rest of the band. This fan must-have will also feature a foreword by Billie Joe Armstrong."

The Book is called "In China With Green Day"

Aaron Cometbus went to China with Green Day last year. He's dedicated an entire issue of his Cometbus zine to the experience called In China with Green Day.

It's out now at NYC local independent underground bookstores, particularly at Book Thug Nation in Brooklyn. It will be available online soon: HERE.

Tre Cool (and his Horseshoes and Handgrenades tattoo) in the new Kat Von D book

Tattoo artist Kat Von D released a new book, "The Tattoo Chronicles" in October, and it includes some Tre Cool in it.

"The tattoo is inspired by a Green Day song, 'Horseshoes and Hand Grenades.' I really love that song, and i got the tatooo before we recorded it. I'm glad the song made the album!"

Kat Von D has previously talked about tattooing up the guys when she talked about

Billie Joe's photostrip on his arm, and doing Jason Freese's awesome tattoo in her last book.

Green Day Art Project Book

While Green Day was on their European tour last fall the band held an art show at London's Stolen Space Gallery. The Green Day art show featured a number of paintings artists had made that were inspired by one of the songs off of 21st Century Breakdown.

The book was created by Logan Hicks, the organizer of the Green Day art show. Inside the book features an array of different artwork that was featured in the art show long with poetry from around the world.
