The band, lead by vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, blasted its way further into the hearts of fans with fire, jumps and fireworks, calling people on stage randomly throughout the night and just having a great time with the show.
From the start, Green Day worked the crowd into an uproar just by launching into the song "21st Century Breakdown," and Armstrong screamed at fans to raise their hands.The fans could not but help to obey the masters of punk and rock.
"We're going to party all night New England!" Armstrong shouted.Mixed in with Green Day's chant of "hey oh", Armstrong called out to Massachusetts and New England repeatedly. The band stuck to mostly its later albums, with songs from the albums "21st Century Breakdown," and "American Idiot."
"Viva la Gloria!" was a hit, which started off with Armstrong showing his versatility as a singer and doing a ballad. Throughout the concert, Armstrong showed he was more than a punk rocker; he knows his stuff. He picked up the saxophone for a song, as well as a harmonica.
"All right New England, let's start a war! Viva la revolution!" Armstrong banged on his guitar, and then all of Green Day followed with "Holiday."[Full article at Sun Chronicle]
