Nine years ago today, Green Day released International Superhits. It was released on November 13, 2001 through Reprise Records. It contains the major singles that the band has released, from Dookie(1994), their major label debut, up to their most recent album at the time, Warning . It also includes two previously unreleased tracks, "Maria" and Poprocks & Coke". It also contains "J.A.R.", a single released on the Angus soundtrack in 1995, not appearing on any of Green Day's albums.
The album reached #40 in the US and #15 in the UK upon its release, International Superhits! has sold 1,896,000 in the US as of September 2010 where it went platinum and over 3,000,000 worldwide.
